Weight without composition is weak information

Two athletes can have the same weight and very different body composition. In strength, endurance and team sports, it often matters more how much of the weight is muscle, fat and water.

InBody helps separate whether a weight change supports the goal or hides a less useful pattern, such as fat gain or muscle loss.

The result is most useful when it is linked to the training block, not judged in isolation.

What to track by phase

During fat loss, watch whether fat mass decreases while muscle is preserved. During strength or hypertrophy work, track SMM, segments and whether fat gain stays within the intended context.

During high-load training, water and glycogen can shift, so one result after a demanding block may look different from a rested measurement.

During return after a pause or injury, segmental outputs and functional strength can be especially useful.

Why InGrip and other measurements can help

Muscle mass is structural. Strength and performance are functional. An athlete can improve strength through technique and neural adaptation before muscle mass changes clearly.
